Hembil campervan range grows

-

Concept Multi-car (CMC) has added another model to its Hembil range of campervans, designed and built in the UK with a Scandinavian design philosophy. The new Urban-s is derived from its successful Urban model but with a different kitchen.

Both are based on the VW Transporter T6.1. Like the Urban, the Urban-s has a wide rear bench with three seatbelts, making it ideal as a daily driver. In fact, its Reimo Variotech 3000 sliding seat system can even accommodate three child seats. However, where the original Urban model has a wider, removable section of galley behind the driver’s seat, where it incorporates the cooker, the new Urban-s has a slimline unit along the full length of the conversion and all the furniture is fixed. The S version’s galley has the same 20-litre top-loading fridge but a new style of singleburner hob is used for cooking.

In entry-level Smart Line trim, the Urban-s is based on a 110PS T30 Startline Transporter with prices starting at £50,500. Prices for the better-equipped Comfort range version start at £59,500, based on a Highline base vehicle. Comfort models come as standard with the CMC Motorhome Option Pack, which includes Reimo’s Easyfit elevating roof, Deluxe interior linings, rear speakers, diesel heating, an awning rail, colour-coded exterior and a number of extra features in the VW cab. Engine upgrades to 150PS or 204PS are available, along with the DSG gearbox and 4Motion four-wheel drive. Conversion options include the new electric Reimo pop-top, full leather upholstery, a solar panel, lithium battery and Abt bodykit.
