Laurence Moore has retired after spending more than forty years working for BT, latterly as a specialist in microwave radio systems. He became very familiar with masts across the country, and has been up many of them, including Emley Moor in West Yorkshire which is more than a thousand feet tall.
Although this is his first boat, boating has been in his family for decades; his brother had a boat back in the 1980s, and knew the Brycelands who founded Braidbar Boats.
Laurence has been cycling all his life and has done some epic long distance trips, including cycling north of the Arctic circle in Norway and Finland, and around Iceland. He’s passing on his love of bikes to the younger generation, as a cycling teacher.
