Window seal

Canal Boat - - Restoration - NEIL LATTIMER

QI am looking to replace the narrowboat window seal shown on the attached photo. The windows were initially purchased as part of a springer boat in 1979.

ATONY REPLIES:

Unfortunately the photo is not very clear and gives no indication of the window frame etc. I have not seen a seal on a boat that is exactly like that before and a search on Google was not very productive. However http://www.sealsdirect.co. uk/index.asp claim they can extrude any seal and being a major supplier of “rubber” seals and sections are more likely to recognise the section IF it was ever in major production.

I have a feeling that I may have seen something like that in domestic UPVC double glazed windows so talk to a local glazing supplier.
