Caress of Steel 60ft semi-trad tug £185,000
We tested this boat as a Crick preview a couple of months ago ( CB June 2018), and the boat looked as good at the show as it did then. The long tug deck is a thing of beauty, but it’s relatively unusual to find a tug with a semi-trad stern. The shell is by Jonathan Wilson, who knows how to make a boat look right. The tug deck houses storage accessible from inside, and a motorbike garage big enough for the owner’s monkey bike. It sits on a hydraulic lift.
Inside there’s a smart galley at the stern, a breakfast bar, and a saloon with a large sofa. The shower room is particularly spacious and has a bidet as well as a loo. The cabin at the bow has a cross bed.
The owners brought the boat down from Finesse’s base in Sheffield to Crick, and say it handled exceptionally well on a very fast flowing River Trent. They were stuck in Newark for a few days by flood water — so really have had an adventure getting here.
