SECOND- HAND BOATS
A selection of beauties including an eye-catching tug
For boaters who like to stand out in the crowd, there’s the 54ft tug Saul from XR&D boat builders, fitted out by Jenny Wren and the owners in 2011 in a Bohemian style.
Quirky features on Saul – which has the look of a working boat - include lime green stove tiles and a Japanese style mural on the aft cabin wall, adding to the one-off spirit that raises smiles.
Powered by a Beta Marine JD3, delivering 30hp and a PRM 260 gearbox, Saul handles very well with the power plant creating a pleasing atmosphere though noise and atmosphere.
The galley is fitted with solid beech worktops and a Belfast sink, a Waeco 12volt fridge and 240 washing machine. Cooking is with a Dometic hob and oven with grill. The boat has a Salamander Hobbit solid fuel stove, Webasto Thermotop-C diesel central heating and a Morco gas water heater.
