It seems to me that an introduction is required. So without further ado, let me say hello and welcome!
I am Helen, a fifty-something mother of two, grandmother of two, and wife of one. My husband Andy and I spend six months of the year living aboard our motorboat, Wand’ring Bark and towing our belovéd Jam Butty. We run Wild Side Preserves and much of the time can be found making jam. Or marmalade. Or chutney. When not chained to the stove, I enjoy making, repurposing, and recycling stuff, or as Andy would put it: surrounding myself with rubbish. Finding creative ways to fill my time, reduce my contribution to landfill, and generally trying to be environmentally sound is something I thoroughly enjoy. However, I am by no means an expert. I am just bumbling along, trying my best and hopefully not hurting anyone in the process.
