FOXWELL NT644 PRO
£450 www.gendan.co.uk 01792 588002
Other than the larger screen, the more sophisticated NT644 appears identical to its smaller NT414 brother. Like Autel’s Maxidiag, this device can detect and communicate with other ECUS within the car, including reading and removing their fault codes. Notable extra features are DPF, car battery reconfiguration and EPB functions. While we preferred the Foxwell NT644’S design, display, graphics and feel over that of Autel’s Maxidiag, it falls slightly short on the more relevant specification. Free software upgrades for 18 months post-sale are included, after which time update packages cost an extra £135. The system is worth considering and the tool looks and feels of a very high quality, but we think it is a little too expensive considering that later updates incur additional costs.
