Gumtree and ebay join forces

On­line car deal­ers can now reach two big au­di­ences with one ad­vert fol­low­ing a de­ci­sion to merge Gumtree’s mo­tor­ing di­vi­sion with ebay. It also means pun­ters will be able to choose from more ve­hi­cles on one view­ing plat­form.

Ac­cord­ing to the par­ent com­pany, ebay Clas­si­fieds Group, Gumtree is cur­rently the fastest-grow­ing clas­si­fieds mar­ket­place for sell­ing ve­hi­cles in the UK. Ap­par­ently, six mil­lion users per month visit the mo­tor­ing di­vi­sion on Gumtree, while 3.7 mil­lion users per month search on ebay for a new ve­hi­cle.

Three pack­ages with add-ons for all bud­gets will be of­fered to deal­ers to list their stock.
