David Taylor writes: We received the photo below from reader Anthony Perry showing a bizarre motoring gadget he found in a shed, still in its original box. According to the label attached to the box, it’s a Technitooter, described as an “Improved Italian pattern wolf whistle and anti-thief device”.
Apparently it works through suction and is attached by drilling and tapping the inlet manifold of the engine, connecting the Technitooter using the supplied pipe. To use it as an anti-thief device, you simply “pull the cord and wind (it) round a convenient knob on the dash.”
Anyone know any more about this and who made it?
