The Hyundai NEXO has become the first hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicle tested by Euro NCAP and has been given a five-star rating, which should help reassure the public that alternative-fuelled vehicles do not pose a risk to car safety. Other cars to win five-star safety ratings were the Mercedes-benz A-class, Mazda6 and Lexus ES.
Leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company Autoglass is rapidly expanding its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration capability to service the increasing number of vehicles with intelligent systems. To date this year, it has opened 14 new ADAS centres, with plans for a further 11, taking the total number of facilities in the UK to at least 70 by the end of 2018.
To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Morris
Lubricants has joined forces with one of its customers, Alex Sharphouse, to build a John Fowler Talisman B6 road locomotive. This vehicle will be built from scratch using old plans and traditional methods. Morris plans to take it on tour once the build is complete.
