The tailgate had some minor damage, which was repairable, such as these scratches along the bottom edge. If they can’t be polished out to a good standard, this section will require respraying. The tailgate was also out of alignment, judging by the shut lines. Upon raising it and checking the hinges’ mounting bolts, we could see the mounts had moved under impact.
