Richer pickings are to be found for £1500-£2000, where all manner of 57- to 09-plate cars are around from private sellers and independent traders – expect smart condition, some semblance of service history and a full MOT. £2500-£3500 is where you’ll find the very best of the earlier cars, which should be in superb order, along with numerous 2010-2012 examples with modest mileages. The upper of those figures is really the maximum you should pay for a Fox, but it’s worth haggling.
