GETTING A LIFT

I have been following Rob Hawkins’ Project Garage (CM, Feb to Dec 2018) with great interest. As a petrolhead and a building engineer, I have a couple of questions for Rob. Did you have any limitations in building height or building area? With my garage, I had a problem with limited height, so opted for a service lift that cost me about £1000 – half the price of your inspection pit. Did you consider that option? I am very happy with the lift, which makes it really easy to change tyres or even a complete exhaust system. Another plus point is that I can roll out the lift if the need should arise.
