The height of my garage was limited to 2.5m according to the building regulations, because my garage is right next to my neighbour’s boundary line. The surface area was dictated by the size of my garden, as I didn’t want to use up too much space. I did consider fitting a lift like yours, but I wouldn’t have been able to use it to raise my VW campervan, so I opted for the inspection pit instead. My inspection pit added £600 to the cost of base and the jacking beam cost £809.40.
