I agree with your sentiments about MOTS not being a requirement on classic cars. I do a certain amount of maintenance on my cars and while I am confident about everything I do from a safety perspective, there is no substitute for an independent expert giving the car a once-over. If I owned a classic, I would make a point of taking the car for an MOT whether it was a requirement of not, so that at least I could be confident that the car was safe to use. A classic car is being driven on the open road, the same as every other vehicle. Richard Drake
