Tool of choice

The Snap-on SOLUS Edge diagnostic tool is very useful for the Terracan, as well as many other vehicle makes and models. It is a real help if the tool being used displays live data, because the operator can see what the ECU is receiving in real time; this data can be recorded and reviewed for glitches. One word of caution: remember that the operator sees what the ECU is seeing and it’s possible that the fault is with the ECU rather than the sensor – this is why an oscilloscope can sometimes be the only sure way to determine the cause of a fault.
