ABS trouble

-

Q I have a 2008 Peugeot 207 1.4 VVT with ABS code ‘C1350’. It seems the ABS on these cars is renowned for problems. I have good power and ground at the ECU connector, so it would seem the ECU is at fault. I would like to replace it with a used pump/ecu, but will this need to be coded to the car? Also, if I buy a used pump/ecu, do all the numbers on the used item need to match my old pump? There is a smaller number (10.02070139.4) and one like a part number (9665344180), but on the used pump I’ve found the smaller number is different. Jonathan Dean A The code ‘C1350’ refers to the ABS unit, specifically the actuator supply. As you have checked and ensured the connections are good, the unit is most likely faulty.

On the unit, the first number is the vehicle manufacturer number and the second refers to the OEM (original equipment manufacturer). Both numbers are relevant and must match on the replacement unit as different units have different specifications. From the data I have, the unit will not need to be coded, but the codes will have to be cleared with a scanner.

If you cannot find the correct unit, then a test-and-repair service can be carried out by ecutesting.com, who will guarantee the repair.
