VIOFO A129 Duo Dashcam
Innovative dashcam manufacturer VIOFO has launched the A129 Duo in the UK. This compact unit incorporates a front main camera with a rear unit to capture footage of the road ahead, as well as monitoring the traffic behind. With an F1.6 Aperture seven-element wide-angle glass lens, all footage captured is of the highest quality at full 1080P HD at 30fps, while the dual Sony Starvis IMX291 sensors provide clear images in low-light conditions.
The front camera fits snugly to the windscreen and has a two-inch screen to play back video and audio files or toggle camera settings without having to use the app. A built-in G-sensor on both cameras instantly knows when the vehicle has been in an accident and automatically protects this footage from the overwrite feature. In Advanced Parking mode, this sensor also monitors the vehicle when unattended, turning on the cameras automatically as soon as they detect motion nearby, starting recording 15 seconds before an incident and for 30 seconds afterwards.
The unit also includes a GPS module that time-stamps your speed and location, as well as keeping the camera’s clock synchronised to GPS satellites. With an SD card (sold separately), drivers can store up to 256GB of HD video. The camera also comes with a loop recording feature that automatically records over the oldest files when the memory card is full, to make room for new recordings. And thanks to the built-in dual-band wi-fi, footage can be viewed, downloaded and shared on the VIOFO app. The A129 Duo is also compatible with Bluetooth.
The VIOFO A129 Duo is available from Amazon for £129.99. Further information is available at viofo.com/en/
