These new steering turntables (part number 77158) are supplied as a pair and enable the user to check the steering angle on full lock to ensure it’s centralised, as well as confirm toe in/toe out on turns and the caster and kingpin inclination when used in conjunction with the Gunson Caster, Camber and KPI gauge (part number 77099; £227.11).

The big advantage of these Gunson turntables is that they are manufactured from lightweight aluminium – they weigh just five kilograms each – but can handle a maximum weight of 2000kg each, making them both versatile and portable. The range across the turntable is +/– 50˚ in 1˚ increments, offering exceptional accuracy, particularly important for vehicles that use variable ratio steering racks or variable rate power steering systems. They can be used on a vehicle hoist in conjunction with a 3D wheel alignment machine, and they can be locked to keep them central as the vehicle is positioned.
