The hardback book fea­tures in-depth interviews with many of the en­gi­neers and driv­ers in­volved with the cars, in­clud­ing con­tri­bu­tions from Hannu Mikkola, Stig Blomqvist, Wal­ter Röhrl, Michele Mou­ton, John Buf­fum, Sarel ven der Merwe, Mal­colm Wil­son, Andy Dawson, Fred Gal­lagher, Phil Short, David In­gram, Jari-matti Lat­vala and Audi per­son­nel such as Wal­ter Treser and Roland Gumpert. The text is il­lus­trated with rare pho­tos from the Audi ar­chives and pe­riod images from Rein­hard Klein, the master rally pho­tog­ra­pher.
