► The Driv­etec brake fric­tion range has been ex­panded by The Parts Al­liance, with the num­ber of pads in­creased by 60% and the range of discs by 50% over the last 12 months. In ad­di­tion, there has been a phase-in of coated discs – discs are edge-marked and be­ing up­graded to be R90-com­pli­ant.

► A ros­ter of in­dus­try re­spected train­ers has joined the newly-launched JLM Academy, in­clud­ing Dar­ren Dar­ling, founder of The DPF Doctor net­work, and Andy Savva, aka The Garage In­spec­tor. Supported by JLM Lubri­cants, the state-of-the-art fa­cil­ity is just 20 min­utes from New­cas­tle Air­port and de­liv­ers train­ing in dif­fer­ent au­to­mo­tive sub­jects for up to 12 peo­ple at a time. It’s kit­ted out with di­ag­nos­tic equip­ment, spe­cial­ist test tools and two train­ing ve­hi­cles. Train­ers in­clude Cal­lum Lee from The DPF Doctor, Steve Scott of Sim­ply Di­ag­nos­tics and David Massey of Au­toin­form.
