Tool of choice

Short of dealer-level diagnostic equipment, the Snap-on SOLUS tool is helpful for some aspects of diagnostic interrogation. However, a quality digital multimeter with long leads will help with much of the circuit testing required, provided that you have access to wiring diagrams. These can be difficult to find, but technical information is available from Jaguar specialists.

We have not attempted to include a wiring diagram for the X300 in this feature, since this would require literally dozens of pages. The Jaguar Vehicle Service Manual contains diagrams covering each individual circuit in turn, as well as schematics showing how the circuits interrelate.
