Special Elle
Limited or special editions have long been a feature of the Nissan Micra range and the fourthgeneration was no different. Launched in September 2012, the Elle was a tie-in with the fashion magazine and was a model unashamedly aimed at female buyers. Ignore the florid marketing spiel that accompanied it and what you got was a car based on Acenta trim and costing from £12,000. Just 500 were destined for the UK and both engines were available, but the appeal lay in the generous level of kit. Alongside air-conditioning and cruise control there was the panoramic glass roof, 15-inch alloys in a titanium grey finish, a roof spoiler and front fog-lamps. Special badging and seat fabrics also featured, while colour choices were Shiraz Red, Alabaster White and Atlas Blue.
