Illuminating problem

-

The passenger door interior light that is housed within the internal door opening handle recess in my 2014 MINI Cooper S Countryman is not working. All the others are fine. Looking on the internet, there are various videos showing how to remove the doorcard, but no information on how to replace or access the filament bulb, which I assume may be an LED. Any help or advice would be most welcome. Martin Hewitt

The bulb used in the internal door handle is an LED and, as such, is not replaceable as a separate unit. The bulb comes complete with the handle assembly and should last a lifetime. It may be worth removing the door panel to access the connection to the interior light LED, which is via a small plug at the end of the ribbon type loom. There is a possibility this connection has failed and, by unplugging and replacing it, it may cure the fault.
