USEFUL PREPARATION DATA

Service intervals Officially every 12,500 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. It is beneficial to service the vehicle and renew the engine oil and filter at least twice as frequently.

Cambelt At least every 62,500 miles or five years. Air filter Every 37,500 miles or three years.

Spark plugs NGK ZKR7A-10 or equivalent; renew every 25,000 miles or two years.

Valve clearances Check and reset every 37,500 miles or three years. Clearances: inlet, 0.30-0.40mm; exhaust 0.40-0.50mm.

ENGINE OIL

Oil type SAE 5W-40 fully-synthetic to API/ACEA SM/C3 and Ford specification.

Capacity (service fill) 2.8 litres. Sump plug torque setting 20Nm. Brake fluid Change every two years.
