Do you eat from the dirtiest parts of your car?

-

 Zenauto spent five days monitoring germ growth in 12 areas of a car to find out where bacteria thrives. Despite being revealed to be the dirtiest area of a vehicle’s interior, a quarter of drivers admitted they would retrieve and eat food they had dropped in the footwell.

The experiment involved swabbing each area and incubating the germs in agar-filled petri dishes for five days. Progress was monitored and the results for each section of the vehicle were visually compared in order to rank and determine which was the most germ ridden.
