Particulate filter bother
u This 2011 Audi A5 2.0 TDI was driving fine and the owner was aware of no problems until the orange EML light suddenly came on. Even with the motor driving okay he knew that it would be a good idea to get things checked before driving too much further, so he arranged to come and see me.
After reading the codes it appeared that the DPF was clogged, so my first action was to activate a forced regeneration of the DPF. After clearing the codes and giving the Audi a short drive, the EML flashed up again.
This time the only code to be seen was P2454, which indicated that the differential pressure sensor circuit was low (G450).
The unit is just under £60 and takes only a few seconds to replace. Once the job was completed the code was cleared, and this time it stayed out.
