2007 Suzuki Kingquad Mud-plugging beast of burden – I love it. High-mileage but well cared for by previous owners. Cracked section of frame needs replacing but it’s not critical.

1998 Volkswagen T4 campervan 2.5 TDI A thankfully solid bus with 227k on the clock and going strong. I’ve just renewed the suspension with OEM springs and Gaz dampers all-round, and am now gradually Polybushing the whole thing.

1992 Fiat Panda Sky My first car, about 11 years ago. Recently recommissioned and driven from Norfolk to the Outer Hebrides by a mate on Practical Classics mag – but newly noisy gearbox now needs attention.

1968 Land Rover Series IIA 2.25 petrol Mechanically original spec, although it’s all come from different Land Rovers over the years. Steering relay needs replacing, but it’s always ready for action and often saves the day.
