KEEP FOCUSED

Car Mechanics (UK) - - Your Letters -

 I refer to Your Letters by David Garrett (CM May 2020) regarding his Ford Focus Mk3 TI-VCT, and I would strongly disagree with his assessment of this marque.

I have owned every marque of the Focus since 2001 and currently own a Mk3

1.0 Ecoboost 125PS, which in my opinion is the best version of all those I have owned. The Mk3 Focus has a tremendous chassis and superb roadholding abilities with more than adequate performance. I’ve had my engine uprated by Mountune at the stage one level.

So far as interior size and space are concerned, this Focus has been very well designed and has more than adequate space in its class; and with the rear seats folded it can comfortably swallow large amounts of luggage. Shane Buchanan
