DIY CABIN FILTER CHANGE

-

 The comfort and dehumidifying benefits of air-conditioning can be negated quickly if you neglect to change the cabin filter annually. Referred also as a pollen filter, you can either select a standard replacement, or upgrade to a carbonactivated item, which helps to filter out odours and certain airborne particulates. They can be a little tricky to access, as seen in this demonstration on a Fiat Punto 1.3 Multijet (2012-2018), the details of which are supplied courtesy of UFI filters. As these models are equipped with air-blend ventilation, hot water is running through the heater matrix continually. So, if you've had the engine running recently, be wary of touching hot water pipes – they may scald you.
