Tyre sealant kit offers peace of mind on the road

 Ring Automotive has launched a new recovery essential in the form of its tyre sealant kit, should the worst happen. The kit, consisting of a 12V air compressor offering 0-90psi/6.5bar and RTS450 flat tyre sealant, is ideal as a temporary fix to get you back on the road until you can find a permanent solution.

Simply shake the sealant bottle, attach the tyre inflator hose to both bottle and tyre valve, plug the kit into your 12V socket, and inflate to the required pressure. Once you’ve done that, drive for five miles and stop to check that pressure has been maintained.

Please note that you should always check the required tyre pressure for your vehicle. This can most commonly be found listed on a sticker inside the driver’s door, or in the vehicle's manual.

The flat tyre sealant kit is not suitable for ripped tyres, sidewall punctures, damage greater than 6mm in diameter or any issue where the tyre has been detached from the rim.

Once used, you must travel no faster than 50mph. You should have a long-term repair carried out as soon as possible (maximum 125 miles).
