Pirelli tyres

Q My 2018 Mercedes GLC 220d 4matic, is fitted (from new) with Pirelli Scorpion Verde 255/45 R20 101W tyres. I have read in the past, certain manufacturers’ tyres have slightly different pressures to those recommended by the car manufacturer. In this case they recommend 30psi. My Mercedes is only driven with two people maximum. I would appreciate your views on this matter.

A The tyre pressures recommended for that fitment of tyre to your vehicle is 2.2 bar (32psi) all round. This is marginally above that which you have listed, but I would recommend the slight increase to get the maximum efficiency from your tyres. If you were to use the vehicle to carry a load at any point the pressures should be increased to 2.4 bar (35psi) at the front and 2.9 bar (42psi) to the rear.
