Recalls

Two recalls, in 2010 and 2012, addressed potential engine failure caused by insufficient crankshaft lubrication and faulty big-end bearing shells respectively. Also in 2012 it was possible some vehicles could suffer from cracks in the rear suspension crossmember, and the following year it was chafed control wiring causing problems with gear selection and a faulty brake servo vacuum hose.

Finally, Fiat recalled a number of vehicles in 2015 and 2017 to deal with problems relating to airbag deployment. It’s always wise to check whether any work has been carried out; but, given the number of these vans produced, it’s not a particularly long list of issues.
