The sump is fitted after the oil pick-up has been refitted – torque those bolts to just 10Nm with threads cleaned with brake cleaner and a dab of thread lock. Sump fitting is tricky as you have to wangle it into place without disturbing the grey sealer. Once in place, fit all the sump bolts to 15Nm.
