Around Europe in a Bentley Continental? Epic story and great pictures in October’s issue! Interesting to read that the Continental shares its platform and no doubt other oily bits with the Porsche Panamera. Maybe in return the nice people at Bentley could share their dashboard software with the poor relations in Stuttgart. This summer we enjoyed our own trip through France to the Pyrenees in our Panamera EHybrid Sport Turismo. The car was utterly sublime, but Porsche clearly spend a bit less than Bentley on their software. So when the speedometer dial switches to km/h the more legible digital readout annoyingly stays in mph. But I see from the photo of the Bentley’s dashboard that both sensibly change to km/h. My dealer says this is the correct set-up in the Panamera, but it’s a bit daft in the real world.
