‘It has to be the kids.’

‘Winning the Dakar rally.’

Tell us how you’ve screwed up…

‘People say to me: “You must regret your time at McLaren F1 when Ron left.” No – some things don’t always work out, but it wasn’t a **** -up. I don’t regret any steps I’ve done. If you don’t mess up you never learn.’

Supercar or classic?

‘Hmm. I don’t like all supercars, and I don’t like all classic cars. But having worked for Porsche, I’m a big Porsche fan.’
