Nomos was one of the irst new watchmakers to be established in Glashütte in the former East Germany, soon after reuniication. The Orion was part of its irst collection, so this German watch has an interesting link to European history. Nomos has long been a favourite of ours for its spare, modernist design, which is relected in every aspect of its business, from its website to its factory. The Orion has been rebooted with a date window, an automatic movement, this cool new olive dial, and a higher price to capitalise on its cult following.
