> Loved your Sports Car Giant Test feature in the November issue. As someone who’s been on the verge of buying a (used) BMW M2 for a while, I was hoping that it would do well in your test. But you argue very persuasive­ly that it’s outclassed by rivals (although it’s a pity that those rivals are more expensive and less practical). That’s the value of a group test, isn’t it – you compare the cars on the same roads, in the same conditions, at the same speeds, and their true strengths and weaknesses become apparent.

It makes you reassess your priorities. Decent boot capacity would be good, but that’s not as important as dynamic brilliance. I’ll never be in a position to go for a GT2 RS like the one in your test, but I suspect any 911 would give me what I’m really after.
