Jon Roberts’ G4 Range Rover (L322)
‘I had a deposit down on a last-ofthe-line Defender, in 2016,’ says Jon.
‘Then I saw a G4 Challenge Defender
for sale. My wife bought that and I
went looking for a G4 Range Rover.
The G4 cars are special because
they were built in such limited
numbers – there are only 31 Range
Rovers like mine in the world. That said, they’re not far from standard, just
the Tangiers Orange paint – inspired
by a Moroccan teapot if you believe
the story – underbody protection and
the roof rack for spare wheels, itted
by Special Vehicle Operations. But
they are sought-after. A 2003 Range
Rover’s worth what, £4000? Mine’s
insured for £25,000.’
