Flaming exhausts

McLaren’s engineers claim they moved the exhausts to the rear

deck to it a bigger diuser, and that the shorter, re-routed pipework helps save weight. But it’s possible they all want to be Adam West in a ’66 Batman remake. Whatever the reason, the central section of the spoiler is covered in lame-resistant

material to stop it melting.
