Letters: Nomad, Sterrato, women

CAR (UK) - - Insider -

Since JJ Lasne (November letters) has apparently not been to Canada, a few words on cold-weather vehicleoperation here. The last time I ran a vehicle overnight to keep it from freezing was 50 years ago. It was a company pick-up truck and the outside temperature was -47ºC. Most people where I live (Saskatchewan) would be quite upset if their vehicle did not start after sitting outside overnight at -30ºC. Almost everyone uses electric block heaters to ensure starts down to -40ºC. John Preikschat
