further details have been announced for the UK’s biggest indoor caravan show at the NEC
Further details have been announced for the UK’s biggest indoor motorhome, caravan and camping show at the NEC.
It has been confirmed that the popular Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show will return to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham between 22 and 27 February, 2022.
Five halls will be packed with over 350 exhibitor stands, showcasing the latest caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents, trailer tents, folding campers, holiday caravans and lodges. At the time of going to press, it was confirmed that Bailey of Bristol, Buccaneer, Compass, Coachman, Elddis, Swift and Xplore will all be exhibiting offering, those wishing to purchase a new caravan the opportunity to see 2022 models all under one roof.
There will also be a large selection of awnings on display to give visitors the chance to see what is on offer and ask any questions that they might have before making a decision.
The news comes after the October show at the NEC was cancelled because of a lack of clarity over the rules for large, organised indoor events.
Organisers were also concerned that the show could generate even more demand for new leisure vehicles at a time when it may prove to be ‘untenable for some’ exhibitors to meet it.
Demand for leisure vehicles has grown massively over the last 18 months, with the outdoor leisure market growing 39% between June 2020 and July 2021.
Impartial advice will be on offer at a series of talks and presentations from organisations and enthusiasts.
Visitors will also be able to research and book their 2022 holidays from a selection of campsites and holiday parks as well as buying accessories for their trips.
If you’re new to caravanning, you can also take advantage of a free towing course and find out what it’s like to tow a caravan before you hitch up for your maiden voyage. Courses are run in conjunction with the Camping and Caravanning Club and are one-to-one experiences with guidance from expert instructors. To take advantage of this, you’ll need to be over 25 and have your driving licence photo ID and a DVLA check code.
NCC Events Chairman, Anthony Trevelyan, said
We can’t wait to welcome those who love the freedom and adventure of caravanning, camping, motorhome and holiday caravan holidays back to the NEC in February and extend a particularly warm welcome to those new to the lifestyle joining us for the first time.
Nothing beats live events and we’re excited to offer visitors the opportunity to get inside and compare the different layouts, fittings and innovations from the best in the industry so that they can make an informed buying decision.
