I’d love to send my mum a sewing themed card for her birthday, please help!

Cardmaking and Papercraft - - Crafter’s Q&a -

Dorothy says: Lawn Fawn is an American company with a fabulous range of stamp sets and their Sewn with Love stamp is perfect for a sewing mad mum! The stamps include a sewing machine, plus a pincushion, scissors, reels of thread, buttons and a thimble. What is clever about this set are the greetings – there are lots of possibilities for puns using the word ‘sew’. You can stamp and colour the images then cut them out as they are such simple shapes but there is a coordinating die set too. I’ve created a base with pinked edges to give it a fabric feel and added a border that gives the illusion of a table. Cover the base card with pretty patterned papers and then colour the images to match. Arrange on the card as shown and stamp the greetings to finish. The Lawn Fawn Sewn with Love stamp is available from Seven Hills Crafts for £11.50.
