Shutter surprise

Cardmaking and Papercraft - - Your Letters -

I’d like to share a 17th birthday card I recently made. As the card is so large, I had to make a complementary gift box to store it in! I decided to craft a double tri-shutter card, which was perfect for the occasion as I could add lots of different embellishments and toppers to each of the little panels.

To create the card, I made two tri-shutter cards from patterned paper and then joined them together behind the central panel. As you can see, I covered each of the panels with lots of little stickers, glittery numbers and ribbon bows. The finished card can be easily folded down and placed in the handmade gift box, so it made a lovely birthday surprise. Lisa Donaldson, Stockton-on-Tees
