Cardmaking and Papercraft - - Crafting Couples -

“My husband, David, and I have been married for over 31 years. David and I worked together in property renovation and maintenance for 12 years, and I would spend most evenings crafting. David has always encouraged and supported me on my crafty journey. I demo at retail craft shows and shops and David has always helped – if I ever need shelving to store my craft stash or need any props, he is always raring to help out. He was diagnosed with cancer last year, and I stopped demonstrating straight away so I could look after him. As crafting is such a big part of both of our lives, it seemed very natural to craft him something. Before his operation David took comfort from the words of the hymn, “His Eye is on the Sparrow,” and knew that God would look after him. I drew a sparrow and coloured it with ProMarkers, and gave it to him. He’s always the first to check out my magazine commissions in print and I love having him so involved with my crafty life.”

Ruth and David prove that give and take is the key to a good marriage
