A WOMAN is desperately searching for her missing father, before it’s too late.

Paula Ali, 49, suffered from breast cancer six years ago, and through her illness she had one regret, that she wasn’t able to meet her father and fill in the missing piece in her life.

Being brushed by death, Paula was determined to resume her search for her other parent.

Paula Ali said: “I was adopted and managed to find my mother when I was 20 and she told me a bit about my father then.

“I’ve been searching since I was 18, but I’ve hit a wall.

“All I know is that he left before I was born, and might have been a builder or painter.

“He was in his early 20s, with blonde curly or wavy hair and blue eyes.

“He was originally from Carmarthenshire, but he and my mother met in Hove, Brighton, where he was working.

“My mother name was Ken Pryce.

“I’m just looking for closure. This is the last puzzle piece left of who I am.

“As I’ve got older and closer to death I’ve really felt that I need to sort it out.

“I would like to go to my grave with peace of mind knowing who my father is.”

Paula’s mother was only said Price his or 19 when she became pregnant, and went on to have six other daughters who Paula keeps in touch with, and calls her sisters.

“I might have more brothers or sisters I get on with on his side of the family,” she continued, adding: “I have grandparents I know nothing about.

“Even if my father has passed away there must be family.

“He must remember my mother, even though he left before I was born in May, 1969.”

She said she looked a lot like him when she was a child.

“If someone may have worked with him, or knew him, please get in touch.

“I’ve messaged people with the same last name on and off for years, sometimes I hit a block in the search, and I’m hoping that this time someone will see this appeal and be able to find him.

“He would be in his late 60s now I think, and I’m 49 so I feel like there isn’t much time left for me to find out who I am.”

Paula’s adoptive parents have died, and although she said her birth father could never replace them, she felt the drive to discover her history and find out who she was.
