Tight at the summit as Coracle and Lion battle it out

IT remains tight at the top of the New Carmarthen and District Men’s Winter Darts League sponsored by Gremlin Club.

In division one, the top two sides remain locked on the same points as they matched each other’s results.

Coracle A saw off Queens B 5-2, with White Lion similarly victorious at the Carpenters. Black Lion consolidat­ed third place with a 5-2 win over Stag Nomads. Stags Head enjoyed a 4-3 success over Fountain and Plough & Harrow claimed a 4-3 victory at Railway B.

In division two, early pacesetter­s Coracle B continued their winning ways with a 5-2 success at Mansel B.

Farmers Arms saw off Friends Arms 5-2 and Wheatsheaf were too strong for Gremlins as they won 6-1.

Queens A defeated Railway A 5-2 and Plough & Harrow Select recorded their first win of the season with a 4-3 triumph over Mansel A.

This Thursday sees the 5s KO and Plate competitio­n played to a finish. In the Team KO at the Gremlin Club are Railway B, Nomads, White Lion, Coracle A, Black Lion, Queens B, Farmers, Carpenters, Plough & Harrow and Queens A.

In the Plate KO at the Railway Club are Coracle B, Fountain, Mansel A, Gremlins, Stags Head, Plough Select, Wheatsheaf, Railway A, Friends and Mansel B. All teams are to register by 8.15pm for the draw with the action to start by 8.30pm.
