Capel Dewi Com­mu­nity As­so­ci­a­tion Meet­ings Monthly meet­ings con­tinue on the first Wed­nes­day of each month, start­ing promptly at 7pm at The Old School.

Hire of The Old School Hire charges have re­mained the same for an­other year. Morn­ing/af­ter­noon/evening (Up to three hours): £25 per ses­sion (£100 for six block book­ings). Day (up to eight hours): £40 per ses­sion (£150 for six block book­ings). Seat­ing for up to 60 peo­ple. Am­ple park­ing to front and rear. Af­ter­noon tea The quilt­ing group are or­gan­is­ing an af­ter­noon tea with stalls, on Tues­day, from 2pm to 4pm. Tick­ets are £5, avail­able from The Old School on Tues­day and Thurs­days or con­tact Sue Nes­bitt on 01267 234996. Lucky ticket prize for those in at­ten­dance. Pro­ceeds in aid of lo­cal char­i­ties.

Other ac­tiv­i­ties at The Old School Quilt­ing ses­sions con­tinue at The Old School on Tues­days and most Thurs­days, from 10am un­til 4pm. Art ses­sions con­tinue on the last Wed­nes­day of each month from 10am to 4pm and Welsh classes on Thurs­day from 7pm to 8pm.

Cymdei­thas Cwmdu The monthly meet­ing will be to­mor­row at 8pm in the Cwmdu Inn. Ev­ery­one is in­vited to at­tend to dis­cuss the suc­cess or oth­er­wise of past events, to of­fer ideas for fu­ture so­cial events and any other as­pects of life in the com­mu­nity..

Folk night A free night of mu­sic in the Cwmdu Inn from 8pm on Fri­day. Come and join in the open ses­sion or just lis­ten. Tal­ley Parish His­tory Group Pat Ed­wards will be in the Cwmdu Inn on Satur­day from 10am to noon to help with any queries about the Parish Ar­chives and wel­comes any­thing of in­ter­est you may have to add to them.

Com­mu­nity restau­rant Restau­rant and bar meals will be avail­able in the Cwmdu Inn on Satur­day from 7pm to 9.30pm. For de­tails of the chef, menu and to book (ad­vis­able), please ring the shop/ bar on 01558 685156.

Air am­bu­lance There will be teas and a talk given by and about the Welsh Air Am­bu­lance in the Cwmdu Inn on Sun­day from 2pm to 4pm. Come and sup­port this wor­thy cause that is so im­por­tant to our ru­ral life and find out more about how they op­er­ate.
