Capel Dewi Community Association Meetings Monthly meetings continue on the first Wednesday of each month, starting promptly at 7pm at The Old School.
Hire of The Old School Hire charges have remained the same for another year. Morning/afternoon/evening (Up to three hours): £25 per session (£100 for six block bookings). Day (up to eight hours): £40 per session (£150 for six block bookings). Seating for up to 60 people. Ample parking to front and rear. Afternoon tea The quilting group are organising an afternoon tea with stalls, on Tuesday, from 2pm to 4pm. Tickets are £5, available from The Old School on Tuesday and Thursdays or contact Sue Nesbitt on 01267 234996. Lucky ticket prize for those in attendance. Proceeds in aid of local charities.
Other activities at The Old School Quilting sessions continue at The Old School on Tuesdays and most Thursdays, from 10am until 4pm. Art sessions continue on the last Wednesday of each month from 10am to 4pm and Welsh classes on Thursday from 7pm to 8pm.

Cymdeithas Cwmdu The monthly meeting will be tomorrow at 8pm in the Cwmdu Inn. Everyone is invited to attend to discuss the success or otherwise of past events, to offer ideas for future social events and any other aspects of life in the community..
Folk night A free night of music in the Cwmdu Inn from 8pm on Friday. Come and join in the open session or just listen. Talley Parish History Group Pat Edwards will be in the Cwmdu Inn on Saturday from 10am to noon to help with any queries about the Parish Archives and welcomes anything of interest you may have to add to them.

Air ambulance There will be teas and a talk given by and about the Welsh Air Ambulance in the Cwmdu Inn on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. Come and support this worthy cause that is so important to our rural life and find out more about how they operate.

Charity auction ball A grand charity auction ball will be held at the newly opened Mountain Gate, Tycroes, on Saturday, November 24, proceeds to Latch and the Hannah Rose Versus Leukaemia charity. The event is for adults only, dress code black tie. There will be a hot Italian buffet, entertainment, a raffle and auction, tickets are £19.50.
