Busy care home raises funds for cancer charity
A CARMARTHEN care home has been busy raising funds for charity during 2018 which has been its busiest year so far.
The most recent fundraisers at Towy Castle care home based in Upland Arms have been for Golau, Cancer foundation.
Staff took part in two separate climbs up Pen y Fan during May and September raising a total of £3,302 and during July they raised £1,091 for the Welsh Air Ambulance through holding a garden party at the home.
Sadie France, the training manager said: “It has been a fantastic fundraising year for the home with us raising the most we ever have. So far this year our fundraising efforts have raised more than £5,000 for local causes.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support and we look forward to raising funds in 2019 for more worthy causes.”
