Salvation Army needs support

Carmarthen Journal - - Letters -

THE Salvation Army community centre, café and charity shop on Lammas Street in Carmarthen needs more volunteers to help out after our recent expansion.

If there are any local residents who would like to take on a new challenge by helping us to provide this vital community service for the people of Carmarthen, we’d like to hear from them.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic people to help us with a number of jobs such as the running of the café, operating the tills in the charity shop, preparing the donated goods which we receive ready to go on sale, and also running the shop floor.

Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds, are of all ages and no experience is necessary as full training will be given to new recruits.

From our centre on Lammas Street, The Salvation Army provides a vital service for the people of Carmarthen, but we do need the local community’s support in order to carry out this work.

If you would like to find out more about the volunteering opportunities that are available with The Salvation Army in Carmarthen, you can call in to our pop-up shop on St Catherine’s Walk, or alternatively contact my colleagues Donna or Jamie on 01267 242978, or email us at car[email protected] salvation Captain Neil Duquemin Carmarthen Outreach Centre, The Salvation Army, Lammas Street, Carmarthen
